Gualchos – a mountain village near the sea

Experience the real Spain in the lovely Andalucian mountain village of Gualchos.

Gualchos is located 130 km east of Málaga in southernmost Spain. Its whitewashed houses, together with the winding, stepped streets, create a charming local ambience.

The Mediterranean is just an 11 minute drive away, in the form ofthe fishing town of Castell de Ferro. There are ample opportunities for an active holiday in the beautiful scenic environs between olive groves and almond orchards. With the mildest winter climate in Europe, subzero temperatures are unknown here, and the region gets more than 300 days of sunshine a year.

In addition, there are many cultural sights worth a visit in this historically rich area, including the Alhambra Palace in Granada and the stalactite caves in Nerja.
